2019 Economic Stimulus

The 2019 economic Stimulus has been approved by the government to help us cope with the economic hardship we are going through due to the COVID-19 (Corona virus).

The following are some questions and answers to help you understand the payments.

Am I eligible to receive the Covid-19 Stimulus?

You are eligible to receive the Stimulus Payment if you are a U.S. resident, have a work eligible Social Security number and have income under the guidelines.

What income meets the guidelines?

The income that will be used to compute the payments will be your Adjusted Gross Income. This is Gross income less allowable adjustments.

What will be the maximum Stimulus check?

If you fall under the income categories, the maximum Stimulus payment will be $1,200 for a single person and $2,400 for a married couple. in addition to that you will get $500 for each dependent under 17.

What income do I have to have to get the maximum Payment?

If you make $75,000 or less for a single person, you will get a full payment of $1,200. If you are married and make $150,000 or less, you will get $2,400.

If you earn more than $75,000 but less than $99,000 for a single person and more than $150,000, but less than $198,000 you will get a smaller amount.

For example, you if you made $89,500 for a single person you will get $500.

This means that if your income is $0 you will get a refund provided you meet the U.S. residency and social security number requirements.

Will I get any Stimulus check for my other dependents?

If your have dependents under 17 years of age you will get $500 for each. Other dependents get nothing.
